Marcos, Schreiner, Carrera, Cleare, Badji… Foreign talent has shone this season in the ranks of an ICG Força Lleida in which there has also been room for the leading role of national players led by one of the first rotations. A year in which the pivot Ignacio Rosa has definitively consecrated himself in the LEB Gold League with his role in the painting of a team that has been the great revelation of the competition thanks to the work of its players.
He inherited part of his talent from his father, a Juan Rosa who played for some years in the Endesa League and the LEB Gold League, but after that, Ignacio Rosa has been able to imprint a great capacity for work and sacrifice in his day-to-day that seems to be already bearing the desired fruits in the competition. Because, without any doubt, 2021/22 seems to have been the great season of a player who has stood out from the outside game of Lleida where he has been one of Gerard Find’s first rotations when it comes to being able to deliver in the paint.
A player who has been capable of supplying with excellence the talent of men like Michael Carrera or Ibou Badji, contributing in the different interior tasks where he has made things really complicated for the rival pivots. All this through a great defensive work that he has accompanied by offensive generosity in an area in which his movements have an increasingly greater repertoire of resources.
Thus, Rosa has been able to get into his pocket a crowd that lamented the injury suffered in the final stretch of the season by a player who could not play the decisive games in the fight for promotion, but who has been essential for his team could reach high levels in the category. And all this through a degree of maturity that leads one to think that he could very soon be one of those interiors that national sports directors fight for when putting together their teams.

Honorable Mention: Jaime Fermandez (Levitec Huesca)
Belonging to a Casademont Zaragoza that gave its services to the residents of Levitec Huesca last summer, the interior Jaime Fernández has been one of the most outstanding men of a team in which Xavi Rey’s experience has been a training master for him . And it is that, throughout these months, Jaime Fernández has stood out for his play in a team at odds with fortune, but in which he has enjoyed the necessary minutes to be able to put into practice the work developed over the last years. A player who has proven to be wholeheartedly on the court and who points to a promising future in national basketball.
Honorable Mention: Eric Vila (Basketball Girona)
He returned this season to the warmth of home after his university experience in the United States and with the priority objective of returning to being what he was before a serious injury. One of those really important years in a player’s career and that Eric Vila has been able to overcome with flying colors from the ranks of Bàsquet Girona. This has been evident throughout a campaign in which he has been really important in the inside game of a team with which he has gone from less to more throughout the course contributing to both sides of the track. Because his physical superiority has led him to opt for some 1×1 in which his quality and talent have allowed him to shine with his own light. The promotion to the Endesa League where we can foreseeably see him next year will be the best possible recognition for one of the great projects of the Girona dressing room.
