The first title of the Euroleague in order to Alba Torrens dates from 2011, when he commanded the Avenida Perfumery. In that final, played precisely in Ekaterimburg, the Salamancans defeated Spartak Moscow (68-59) and Alba was crowned Final Four MVP. Individual distinction that he repeated three years later, when he won his second title, already in the ranks of the Galatasaray. His Final Eight MVP signed him in the final against Fenerbahçe (69-58).

Already installed in the UMMC Ekaterimburg, in which she is playing her seventh consecutive season, Alba has added her next four titles since 2016, the last three from the hand of a Spanish coach (Miguel Mendez), just like his first hit (Lucas Mondelo). In those four finals, the UMMC beat respectively Nadezha (72-69), Dynamo Kursk (77-63), Sopron (72-53) and this weekend, Perfumerías Avenida (78-68).

Equaling the 11 titles that the legendary Uliana Semenova won with Riga’s Daugawa between 1967 and 1981 – the only player who has more titles than Alba – seems more than difficult. But for the Spanish star nothing seems impossible.

And 8 medals with Spain

During these years, Alba has not only been the six-time European club champion. In his record, the 8 medals that he has won with the National Team shirt: two gold (Eurobasket 2013 and 2017), two silver (2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games) and four bronze (Eurobasket 2009 and 2015 and 2010 and 2018 World Cup).

Alba has already accumulated 170 games as an absolute international, with which this summer he is preparing to play his sixth Eurobasket and his third Olympic Games.
