Alima Dembele (Mali, 2000), commits to CD Promete for two seasons. The young player, who can move into the forward and power forward positions, makes the leap to the Endesa Women’s League after being one of the sensations of the Women’s League 2 last season.

The 2019-2020 season began playing at Magec Tías and ended the season at Ausarta Barakaldo. Last season he played in Adavera Basketball, with numbers of 21.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 33 minutes per game. He has recently played in the Afrobasket with the Mali national team, getting 4.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game and a very worthy second position.

César Aneas has stated that “Alima is a young player with a great physique who comes to help both in the forward position and in interior positions.” The coach has been “very happy for this incorporation and convinced that he is in a suitable club for the development of his sports talent during these two seasons.”

David Martin, general director of the club, explained that Alima Dembele is “a bet for the present and future that comes to Logroño to grow with us and that stands out for its strength and aggressiveness on the pitch.”
