Andrea Pecile returns to Granada. The former player returns to the city where he triumphed and left an indelible mark during his time at LEB and ACB. The Italian will join the CB Granada Foundation to occupy the position of head of individual technique for both the male and female lower categories. In addition, he will be in charge of directing the different campuses that will be organized by the Nasrid entity and will be assistant coach of junior A male.

Pecile, 41, wore the CB Granada jersey in a total of 129 divided matches during the 2003/04 seasons (with subsequent promotion to the ACB league), 2004/05, 2006/07 and 2007/08. The former player scored his top scoring in the highest category of national basketball at 27 points against Menorca. The Italian had retired and was currently working as a coach in the lower echelons of his native Trieste.

The incorporation of Andrea Pecile will allow the CB Granada Foundation to take a notable leap in quality in the training and growth of its lower categories.

Statements by the president of the CB Granada Foundation, Óscar Fernánez-Arenas

For us it is a real luxury to be able to count on the experience of an iconic player for Granada, as well as being a friend who loves this city like those of us who are part of the CB Granada Foundation family. That the players of our base work and train together with a person of the stature of Andrea, we believe that he can become the best example to continue their growth both on and off the court.
