Tenerife continues to combine its work in the preparation of the first team squad, facing its fourth consecutive season in the Endesa Women’s League, with the development of its academy work. Thus, the purple entity announces that Andrea Rodríguez, Maimouna Haidara and Carmen Vila will act next season as linked, alternating their work with the first team with their participation with the club’s subsidiary in the First Autonomous Region.

Andrea Rodríguez (1’85, 23 years old) is the “veteran” of the group. Not in vain, the center from La Laguna has already played 12 games in the Endesa Women’s League in the last three seasons, participating in 6 games last season. For her part, the Malian Maimouna Haidara (1’81, 18 years old) made her debut last season with the Tenerife first team and Carmen Vila (1’74, 18 years old), trained in the CB La Salle and Luther King College , will premiere this year under the orders of Claudio García.

The coach from Tenerife values ??that “for us it is very important that the players from the quarry are in the dynamics of the first team”. In that sense, “Andrea is one of the group”, since “her work, attitude and continuous evolution make her a player who will continue to grow”, concluding that “we want her to end up being part of the first team ”.

Regarding Haidara and Vila, “they are in their first senior year and they have to take advantage of this step to continue improving and evolving for a future, both theirs and that of the club, which we hope will go hand in hand”.
In the three seasons that Tenerife has played in the Endesa Women’s League, there have been 9 Canarian or youth players who have had minutes in the purple team, 6 of them debuting in the highest category of Spanish women’s basketball, within the philosophy of the entity from Tenerife to continue promoting young local players.
