The Coruña SAD Basketball Club announces the incorporation of Arnar Bjornsson until the end of the season. The Icelandic-born player joins the Herculine club to complete the point guard position after Augustas Peciukevicius’ long-term injury loss.

Arnar, 28 years old and 1.81m tall, is a player with different characteristics from Pecius who arrives very excited and psyched to help the team at the most decisive moment of the season.

He is an electrifying point guard from different positions, with the ability to capture rebounds despite his height, and who can occupy the shooting guard position with solvency.

His professional career (he was trained at St. Mary’s High School, Canada) has been developed entirely in the first competition in his country, known as Dominós League (league in which a compulsive scorer with an orange past, Ty Sabin currently plays), until his arrival at the ZTE Canoe last January, a team from which he recently disassociated himself.

In the Dominos League he has played in different teams, among which UMF Grindavik stands out, in which he averaged 18 points in his last season. His performances allowed him to reach absolute internationality with the Icelandic team, with whom he has played 12 games since his debut at the age of 24.

The club wants to wish the new player good luck and success in this new stage at a decisive moment of the season and welcome him to his new team and city.
