ANDBarça guard Cory Higgins will remain outside the team “for the next few weeks” due to a back injury that has prevented him from playing since November 4, according to the Barça entity on Monday.
After Higgins was examined again by the club’s medical services, Barça announced that the American guard “will continue to work with a conservative treatment” and “will be evaluated again in the coming weeks.”
This announcement comes eleven days before Real Madrid visit the Palau Blaugrana, on the fourteenth day of the Euroleague.
Higgins played his last game for Barça on November 4, against AX Armani Exchange Milan in the Euroleague, and has since missed seven matches in all competitions.
Higgins’ absence joins those of guard Álex Abrines, who underwent surgery on his left knee last September, and guard Nick Calathes, who will be out for around six weeks due to a proximal fracture in the left fibula.
