Barcelona had a first half that was almost for the history books.

Barcelona scored 64 points (the highest performance for the club since the 1989-90 season) at halftime en route to beating Estudiantes 98 – 68 in a game for Round 20 of the Spanish ACB League.

Nikola Mirotic scored 18 points and got five rebounds, Artem Pustovyi dropped 16 points and grabbed eight boards while Kyle Kuric had 15 points for Barcelona that recorded its 14th straight ACB win and is now 22 – 3.

Estudiantes dropped to 8 – 17. Aleksa Avramovic finished with 14 points, Jon Roberson scored 13 and JJ Barea had 12 points plus five assists.

In an earlier game, Real Madrid defeated Obradoiro 87 – 71 on the road behind Nicolas Laprovittola and Fabien Causeur who scored 17 points apiece. The Blancos remain at the top of the standings, sitting at 25 – 1.

Kassius Robertson (18 points) and Steven Enoch (14 points) were Obradoiro’s top performers. Their team fell to 7 – 18.
