Albert Sàbat Vilà (Llagostera, 1985) retires as a professional basketball player after twenty seasons. Trained in the lower categories of Club Baloncesto Llagostera and Club Sant Josep Girona, Sabat made his debut with CB Girona of ACB in the 2002-03 season while competing in the linked team: ADEPAF Figueres of EBA. After adding minutes in the 2003-04 academic year, he would obtain the record of the first team in 2004-05, with which he would play 21 games.
After trying the ACB, he would gain experience as a player in the FEB categories defending the jersey of teams such as Lleida, Tenerife, Vigo, Vic, CB San José Girona, CB Canarias, Alicante and Tizona de Burgos. He would return to the highest category as a point guard for Club Joventut de Badalona and CAB Obradoiro, before concluding his stage at his home: Bàsquet Girona. Thus, ascending to the ACB, he closes the circle where it all began after making his debut in an elite team from Girona.
