Casademont Zaragoza announced Sunday they have signed head coach Dragan Sakota to a deal for the remainder of the season, confirming ’ prior report.

Sakota last coached Crvena Zvezda in the 2019-20 season and has coached 14 clubs across Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Italy and Turkey during his nearly 40-year career, yet this will be his first experience in the Spanish Liga Endesa.

The 69-year-old playcaller has lifted the Basketball Champions League title and the Greek Cup with AEK in 2018.

Zaragoza is currently placed in the 16th spot of the Liga Endesa standings with an 8-16 record and will have to find a way back to avoid relegation to the LEB Oro.
