The Spanish Basketball Federation and Endesa have signed a renewal agreement whereby the electricity company will continue to act as ‘Title Sponsor’ of the Endesa Women’s League until the end of the 2023-2024 season. A firm commitment that reinforces the continuous growth of a competition that has become a benchmark for women’s basketball at an international level.

Endesa, Sponsor Partner of the FEB, began to name the LF Endesa at the start of the 2019-2020 campaign. With this renewal, there will be five seasons in which the Women’s League will be linked to Endesa, the longest-running ‘Title Sponsor’ in its history.

The LF Endesa 2021-2022 playoffs will begin this weekend with eight contenders for the title: Perfumerías Avenida, Valencia Basket, Spar Girona, Cadí La Seu, Casademont Zaragoza, IDK Euskotren, Movistar Estudiantes and Lointek Gernika.

Jorge Garbajosa: “A renovation that represents a fundamental boost”

“I want to thank Endesa for its firm commitment to women’s basketball, one of the great strategic pillars of the Spanish Basketball Federation. This renewal represents a fundamental boost for the growth of a competition that, as shown by the results of our teams in continental competitions, is among the best women’s leagues in Europe. The trust between both institutions is total and goes beyond any economic agreement thanks to the values ??we share and that basketball captures so well. I always say that Endesa is much more than a partner of the FEB, and this renewal is a new example of how our interests are completely aligned”.

José Bogas: “Supporting basketball is being close to society”

“Renewing this agreement with the FEB is a great joy for Endesa because it allows us something essential for us: being close to civil society, accompanying it to generate a positive impact through sport. Being at the side of the FEB in its fantastic work for basketball is a privilege that we have been part of for more than 10 years when we began to sponsor the senior teams. When the opportunity arose in 2019 to extend our sponsorship to the Endesa Women’s League, we immediately said yes and today we can affirm that it is a story of growth and shared success around women’s sports. We support the competition and go further thanks to social projects such as Basket Girlz, to encourage teenage girls to play basketball throughout their lives and we also promote actions that have to do with sustainable development. In short, supporting women’s basketball is being close to society and doing it hand in hand with the FEB is the best news we can give”.
