The 2015 Eurobasket for the first time will be hosted in more than one host country: The Group Phase set to take place in Zagreb, Croatia; Montpellier, France; Berlin,Germany; and Riga, Latvia from 5-11 September. The Final Phase will then be played in the 27,000-seat Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, France from 12-20 September.

Prior to the Draw, eight of the 24 teams already know where they will be playing their Group Phase games, with each of the four host nations granted the right to choose a partner Federation based on commercial/marketing criteria, as a one-off decision, applicable only to EuroBasket 2015 because of the exceptional circumstances created by the relocation of the original event from Ukraine.

Spain will have to fight during this Eurobasket competition to make up for the poor results in the 2014 World Championships. Today’s FIBA Eurobasket 2015 draw puts Spain in Group B with: Serbia, Turkey, Italy, Germany and Island.
