COMMUNICATION AREA FEB

In the absence of the arrival of Kahleah Copper (Avenida), there are several newcomers to LF Endesa who are leaving good feelings: Lydia Giomi and Maya Caldwell (Spar G. Canaria), Rebeka Gardner (Spar Girona), Kadri Lass ( Pajariel Bembibre), Katarina Zec (Kutxabank Araski), Tierra Ruffin (Innova TSN Leganés)… but nothing comparable to the irruption of the Croatian Ivana Tikvic (Tenerife).

It is not a ‘rookie’ to use, since it has arrived in Tenerife with 27 years and with experience in major leagues and European competitions. But after the Super Cup and three Regular League games, they are at the top of the valuation ranking with 23.3 points, ahead of Irati Etxarri and Emese Hof.

On matchday 2, in the first Regular League game at Santiago Martín, the Croatian went to 18 points and 10 rebounds, for a total of 30 PIR. A performance that has been the top of the day that closed this Tuesday with the matches of Gran Canaria and Logroño, and that ended with an important victory against Lointek Gernika

Tikvic was on the court for 35 minutes and finished with great percentages of tior (4 of 6 in field goals and 10 of 11 in free kicks), to which he added 2 assists, a recovery and 8 fouls received.

Anecdotal section:

Claudio García’s team is a regular in the MVP’s section in the two seasons he has been at LF Endesa. Tanaya Atkinson, Lyndra Weaver and Asia Taylor have won several weekly awards and this season the Croatian has already won the first on the second day.

Curiously, the MVP of matchday 2 of last season was for the American from Perfumerías Avenida, Katie Lou Samuelson, in another irruption of a high-quality foreigner at LF Endesa.

The ideal quintet of the day:

Day 2 leaves us with a very interesting and heterogeneous ideal quintet. The base position is for Marina Lizarazu, who is being the engine of a good Durán Maquinaria Ensino who was surprised by the comeback of the Campus Promete yesterday. Another protagonist of this 50-minute game also enters the quintet (it was decided in the second overtime): Jovana Nogic. The forward of the Rioja was spectacular with 22 points and three important triples for the victory of her team.

The outside line is closed by the American from Innova TSN Leganés, Imani Tate. The Madrid team achieved its first victory in the competition on matchday 2 and the powerful guard, who scored 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, had a lot to do with it.

And the inner duo is made up of two of the fittest players from LF Endesa. Emese Hof has taken another step forward in the Salamanca team and is shining in every game he plays. While MVP Ivana Tikvic completes a pair of centers with centimeters, points and sacrifice in defense.
