At 19 Sika Koné is already a world star. The Spar Gran Canaria pivot has been a fundamental piece for Mali in the AfroBasket for Women, and continues her progression at LF Endesa. This Sunday was key in the game in which his team beat Durán Maquinaria Ensino with 15 points and 12 rebounds, for a total PIR of 29.

An important victory against one of the ‘revelation’ teams from this start of the season, although touched by injuries. Koné’s Spar Gran Canaria took advantage of the physical slump of his rival to certify the victory with a partial of 7-16 in the last quarter.

Anecdotal section:

Sika Koné has played 35 games at LF Endesa since making his debut just over a year ago… and has achieved his fifth weekly MVP. Last season she was the best player on matchdays 3, 6, 25 and 26 and one of the keys for the Gran Canaria team to reach the playoffs on their return to competition.

Last season he averaged 14 points and 11.6 rebounds, and in the three games this season he averages 10.3 points and 12.0 rebounds. Little by little he is entering the rhythm of the competition and is confirmed as one of the stars of the competition and aspiring MVP.
