The Dutch power forward will play a second season in Pisuerga and follows in the footsteps of Sergio de la Fuente, Jaan Puidet and Melwin Pantzar

Jordy Kuiper will continue at UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto and becomes the fourth renewal and piece for the 2022/2023 season. The power forward from the Netherlands, after having a good first year in Pisuerga, joins the well-known continuity of Sergio de la Fuente, Jaan Puidet and Melwin Pantzar.

Jordy Kuiper (Groningen, Netherlands; June 2, 1995), who arrived at UEMC Real Valladolid Basketball last summer, has played all the games of the 2021/2022 campaign, recording good figures: 7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists and a PIR of 4.4, although in the four playoff games the rebounds rose to an average of 4.3 per game. Beyond the numbers, his versatility in the inside game and ability to play both far and near the hoop, make him a fundamental piece for the Valladolid team.

However, apart from his sporting performance, Jordy Kuiper’s involvement off the pitch is praiseworthy, and his predisposition and communion with the fans are also compelling reasons for his continuity at UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto. In this way, the Dutch interior will live a second season wearing the blanquivioleta, and there are already four players that Paco García has for 2022/2023, which ratifies the continuity project that is being built.

· A fundamental player on and off the pitch

Jordy Kuiper will play his second season in Pisuerga, which is a reason for “happiness” for the Dutchman, a fundamental player on and off the pitch: “I am extremely excited to return to UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto. It is the first time that I have renewed with a team, but it is not really a decision that I have had to think about for a long time because I immediately felt a special connection not only with my teammates and the team, but also with the coaching staff, the Club and the hobby. I am very, very happy to spend another year with all these great people from Valladolid. I want to start training because I feel like we have unfinished work. We ended the year on a positive note, but I can’t wait to work with this group of people again, on this project and to get back on track.”

Knowing the continuity of the fourth figure of the UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto, Paco García highlighted the contribution of Jordy Kuiper and everything he offers to the Club. “The renewal of Jordy Kuiper is due to the fact that we think he is a player with a lot of room for improvement and that he can give much more to the team this season, hence the interest in him continuing. He is a very good player, who can play in two positions, both open ‘four’ and ‘four and a half’ near the basket, with good movements near the rim, a good hand from distance, which helps us on the rebound, which work defensively and train hard every day. He has been very involved in the life of the team and the city. He is an excellent player and an excellent dressing room player, also something very important for us. He has a lot of room for improvement and he can help us more than he has done this season, having already been an important player”.
