Laura Piera (02-12-2000, Sant Cugat del Vallès) is a point guard who can alternate the base position with that of the guard at times as a result of her good reading and ability to lead the team. Piera also stands out for her scoring ability in different game situations, and with her incorporation, Penya signs a player with a lot of defensive capacity and a very intense style of play.

Piera comes from the United States from Grand Canyon University where he has played for the last 3 years. In addition, before making the leap to the NCAA, he had played for Basket Almeda and CBF Sarrià as training clubs.

Joventut incorporates a player who has been international in the lower categories with Spain and who is the U16 European champion, a silver medal in the U18 European and U19 World bronze. With the Catalan team, Piera has also been Spanish mini champion, junior runner-up, and bronze in the cadet tournament.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to join this project and I hope to help as much as possible to achieve the goals of the team”, said Laura Piera in her first words as a player of the Club Joventut Badalona.
