María Barneda already knows César Aneas’ entity and style of play, since last season he was part of the first team squad, contributing 4.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1 assist in 18 minutes of play.

The Catalan, 1.77 meters tall and 23 years old, is committed to the club after passing through Recoletas Zamora. At LF Challenge he averaged 6.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18:25 minutes after 16 games played. Now Barneda arrives in Logroño to provide toughness and versatility in outside positions.

The team’s coach, César Aneas, has stated that he is “very happy to have María again, one of ours, and that she rejoin the team after the great season she had last year in Logroño”. In addition, she explained that she is “a player who knows her teammates and our game proposal perfectly, and who comes to add from the first minute”. César is “personally very happy to have Barneda at the club again, a great professional who comes to offer us many things on both sides of the track”.

For his part, David Martín, general director of CD Promete, pointed out that “we needed someone we could trust”. In addition, he added that “she is a young player with projection. She started this project with César last year and she is one of the family. We are very happy with his return and we are convinced that from the first minute he will add many intangibles.”
