ANDhe MoraBanc Andorra, with a spectacular defense, drowned Monbus Obradoiro this Saturday after the break, won 86-73 and added their fifth victory of the season.
Those from the Principality, after 40-40 at the end of the first 20 minutes, gave the Galician team no option in the last two quarters.
Equality was highest in the first ten minutes. Those of Ibon Navarro were fed thanks to the offensive inspiration of the French Amine Noua (8 points with two triples) and in the team of Moncho Fernández the contribution of Álvaro Muñoz stood out, with two triples and eight points, and also the five points of Hobbs .
At the end of the first quarter, 20-21 in favor of Monbus Obradoiro.
In the second act, a partial 0-5 for the visitors was solved for the Andorran with five consecutive points from Guille Colom. Those of Moncho Fernández, with a triple hit, caused MoraBanc to be in tow, but without many differences in the electronic one.
A triple by Robertson and another by Hobbs made it 36-40, but Oriol Paulí and Mario Nakic closed 40-40 at halftime with eight points for Conor Morgan and Amine Noua, and 10 points for Álvaro Muñoz. Clevin Hannah finished the first 20 minutes without points.
The staging of MoraBanc could not have been better at the resumption. Ibon Navarro’s men signed a 7-0 run in less than two minutes with four consecutive points from Nakic and an alley-hoop from Tunde as the most outstanding plays to cause Moncho Fernández’s time-out (47-40).
Birutis, with a 2 + 1, seemed to cut the Andorran streak, but a mate from Miller-McIntyre and two more points from Noua placed the maximum difference with 53-43 with three minutes of the third quarter. From the spectacular dunk by Miller-McIntyre for 61-47, he went to a partial of 1-7 for Moncho Fernández’s men, with five consecutive points from Robertson (62-54). The third quarter ended 65-55.
Only Kassius Robertson and Birutis endured the type of a Monbus Obradoiro that went out. Those of Ibon Navarro did not give any option to those of Santiago de Compostela and, with an aggressive defense, they sentenced 4:33 for the end with 76-61.
The best of the Andorran team was Amine Noua, with 13 points, and for the Galician team the 20 points of Robertson and the 18 and 27 valuation of Birutis stood out.
