The Perfumeries Avenida has obtained the first ticket for the grand final of the LF Endesa Super Cup after beating SPAR Girona (61-63) in a clash that did not have a clear dominance given the reaction capacity of both teams when they were behind on the scoreboard. The first part was red-black with a great Julia Reisingerova and a decisive Rebekah Gadner. In the second half, it was the azulón team that took the reins thanks to the points of Emese Hof and Leo Rodríguez.

The opening minutes of this season 21/22 of LF Endesa passed with the equality expected from the first moments of a tournament like this LF Endesa Super Cup. After 6-5 came a triple by Julia Reisingerova with which Spar Girona took the lead (15-11) but with the superiority of their inner game, Perfumerías Avenida again brought distances closer (15-15).

With the absences of Laia Palau and Frida Eldebrink, Spar Girona pulled young players like Julia Soler, Iho López and Faustine Parra. The intensity of the youth squads and the offensive determination of Binta Drammeh and Julia Reisingerova allowed to open a gap of up to 8 points (24-16). With an unsportsmanlike regulation on Laia Flores and two actions on the counterattack, the Gironí team added a 5-0 run and set a new maximum at 29-16.

The Salamanca team recovered after the successes of the always active Emese Hof (29-23). Five points from Leo Rodríguez and a free kick from Maite Cazorla culminated in a 0-13 run with which the game returned to a draw (29-29). The break came after a basket by Giedre Labuckiene that allowed Spar Girona to go to the dressing rooms ahead (31-29).

The Spar Girona prolonged the good sensations on the return to the track (35-29), although the story of the first half was repeated and the Perfumerías Avenida answered with the actions of the trio that performed best: Leo Rodríguez, Maite Cazorla and Emese Hof.

A run of 2-10 (37-42) allowed the Salamanca team to control the final stretch of the third period until Rebekah Gardner found a hit and returned equality to the scoreboard (47-48).
With a basket from Reisingerova (49-48), Girona started the last period ahead, but the azulón team did not take long to turn the situation around with a partial 0-12 (49-60). The aggressiveness of Hof and the success of the exteriors Cazorla, Rodríguez and Vilaró, allowed Avenida to put the victory on track, however a last push from Girona with 3 minutes to go put the game at 61-61 in the absence of 1 : 04 for the end.

Leo Rodríguez had the opportunity to distance himself from the free kick, but he missed one of his shots (61-62). Spar Girona also made a mistake on his last play and with a recovery by Rodríguez that ended in a foul, the Gran Canaria returned to 4.60 to sentence with the second free-kick converted (61-63).

With this, Perfumerías Avenida awaits its rival in the last game of the fight for the title, which will come out of the confrontation between Clarinos Tenerife and Valencia Basket. The final will be played tomorrow Sunday at 18:00 island time and can be followed live through Teledeporte.
