The “Cortes de la Real Isla de León” Congress Center, in San Fernando (Cádiz), has been the scene of the official presentation of the next Spanish Basketball Club Championship 2022 in the Men’s Cadet category, which will take place from 15 to May 21 in the town of Cadiz.

San Fernando is once again the protagonist of the best training basketball at the national level after the organization of the PlanetaMini of regional teams prior to Easter. Once again, the pavilions of the “Almirante Laulhé” Park, Enrique Márquez and Bahía Sur will host the 32 best teams on the national scene.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the Spanish Basketball Federation and FAB President, Antonio De Torres; accompanied by Antonio Rojas, Councilor for Education, and Francis Posadas, Councilor for Sports, from the San Fernando City Council; as well as the FAB Delegate in Cádiz, Adolfo Magrañal.

From the City Council of San Fernando, in the words of Francis Alonso, they showed “Very pleased to bring a Spanish Championship to San Fernando. It’s been two years in a row that we’ve brought the MiniBasket and the Men’s Cadet, which at a competitive level is truly spectacular and with players who have even debuted in the ACB”.

A few words endorsed by the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Education, Antonio Rojas. “Last year we reached a compromise, and it has been fulfilled. Once again, we have taken a championship that is very difficult to bring back to San Fernando. The neighbors will be able to enjoy it. For our Mayor, colleagues and colleagues, it is a pride. The Island is always open to these events. I also want to thank the work of the volunteers from the local clubs, because without them this would not be possible”. declared.

“We are very grateful to the San Fernando City Council for wanting to continue maintaining this championship. Last year we enjoyed it, but we missed the fact that people from the province filled the Pavilion. We had some special circumstances with COVID-19 that we no longer have this year. We are very excited as the whole province will be able to enjoy this championship. Youth teams from the great Spanish teams will be present and guarantee a very high level in San Fernando”, declared Adolfo Magrañal, FAB Delegate in Cádiz, who also wanted to emphasize the work of “the volunteers who are always regulars at our events. Without them it would be impossible to do them”.

“Eternal gratitude to the City Council of San Fernando for hosting this type of event. Last year they opted to hold an event in an extreme situation, and the Spanish Basketball Federation is aware of it and therefore gave it preference to organize it the following year. Andalusia has once again demonstrated its very high and risky commitment to this type of event, which is why it hosts a large majority”, ended the Vice President of the FEB and President FAB, Antonio De Torres.
