Ricky Rubio Named FIBA Youth Player of the Year – 3rd Year In A Row




Ricky Rubio is only 19 years old and has received more awards than any Spanish Men’s Player at his age. Today he was presented with the FIBA Young Player of the Year award for the 3rd consecutive year. Rubio assisted his country Spain in winning last years EuroBasket 2009 Gold Medal and in his first year with FC Barcelona he helped them win the 2010 EuroLeague Championships Final held in Paris, France.

“I’m proud to receive this award.” stated Rubio.

“It also belongs to my teammates because last year´s gold medal at the EuroBasket helped me to receive it.

“I hope there are a lot more awards to come in the future”.
