Samuel Rodríguez Ramos (San Cristóbal de la Laguna, 1997) began playing basketball in his native Tenerife. He quickly stood out and at only 14 years old he headed to Badalona to join the lower categories of Penya. After three seasons, the player decided to return home to the ranks of the Real Club Náutico de Tenerife in the EBA league, a team in which he was for five seasons and linked to Lenovo Tenerife. Precisely at the hands of the Aurinegros, he would make his debut in the Endesa League and in European competition, playing three games in the Basketball Champions League.

In the summer of 2019, and at only 22 years old, Samu Rodríguez signs a multi-year contract with HLA Alicante, recently promoted to LEB Oro. His first season was loaned to Albacete Basket of LEB Plata. In his second season he started the competition with the Alicante team, but after three games he was loaned out again, this time to CB Benicarlo, also from LEB Plata, where he showed great progress. Last year, and after disassociating himself from HLA Alicante, he signed with FC Cartagena Baloncesto de LEB Plata where he scored more than 13 points and almost 6 rebounds per game, being a key player in the team that managed to play in the promotion playoffs in his first season in the category.
