The Mediterranean Games once again bet on 3×3 basketball and they will do so with the U23 category. Spain will present two quality teams to fight for the medals in Oran.


The challenges of the Spanish 3×3 continue to take place this June. After the World Cup, the U23 teams will travel to Oran (Algeria) to play the Mediterranean Games, which once again bet on the Olympic modality.

The girls will be trained by Paula Palomares, who will have five players of excellent level: Aina Ayuso (Campus Promises), Natalie Rodriguez (Baxi Ferrol), Caroline Guerrero (Barça CBS), Helena Pueyo (Arizona Wildcats) and Laura Mendez (Pajariel Bembibre)

The boys have opted for a starting quartet, and four guest players who will work together. Paul Gonzalez (Hestia Menorca), Unai Mendicot (Circle Gijon), William Arcos (HLA Alicante (M4U Team Urbanz) and Rodrigo Seoane (Iraurgi ISB), joined by Imanol Martinez (CB Mollet / Next MVP Badalona), isaac may (CB Cornellá / Be Goat Team), Michael Segarra (CB Barberá / Barcelona Sants), and Pol Canovas (EU Mataró). Raúl Fernández will be the coach in Oran.

The Mediterranean Games will be held in the Algerian town of Oran from June 25, although the competition will be held from June 30 to July 3. Spain will present a U23 team for both men and women, which was concentrated a few days ago at the facilities of the Higher Sports Council.

The composition of the groups will be as follows:

Group A: Portugal, Algeria and Serbia
Group B: France, Egypt, Italy and Tunisia
Group C: Spain, Greece, Slovenia and Turkey

Group A: Italy, Turkey, Algeria
Group B: Slovenia, Spain and Portugal
Group C: France, Serbia and Cyprus
Group D: Greece, Egypt, Tunisia and Croatia
