The 16 players chosen by Sergio Scariolo for the Window of the qualifying phase for the 2023 World Cup will meet this Monday at noon in Córdoba, where in the afternoon they will hold their first training session on the field of the Vista Alegre Municipal Palace.

The team will continue its preparatory work until Thursday morning, in the hours before the match against Ukraine (20:45). It will be the only match played by Spain in this Window, once FIBA ??has decided to postpone the one that was scheduled to be played on Sunday in Kiev and move it to the next June-July Window.

The players called up are Alberto Díaz (Unicaja), Dani Pérez (Baxi Manresa), Quino Colom (AEK Atenas), Joan Sastre (Lenovo Tenerife), Francis Alonso (Unicaja), Josep Puerto (Valencia Basket), Xabi López-Aróstegui (Valencia Basket), Joel Parra (Joventut Badalona), Oriol Paulí (Morabanc Andorra), Jonathan Barreiro (Unicaja), Dani Díez (Hereda San Pablo Burgos), Miquel Salvó (Herbalife Gran Canaria), Jaime Pradilla (Valencia Basket), Yankuba Sima ( Baxi Manresa), Rubén Guerrero (Unicaja) and Fran Guerra (Lenovo Tenerife).

In the first two days of this first qualifying phase for the 2023 World Cup, Spain added two victories: in their visit to North Macedonia (65-94) and against Georgia in Jaén (89-61). He will face this second Window, then, as a group leader.
