Sancho Lyttle was the dominating force for Spain who started their World Cup campaign with a large victory over Japan of Group A.  Lyttle scored 19 points and snatched down 12 rebounds with a valoration of 32. The national team played almost flawlessly  throughout the entire game. The defense proved difficult for Japan as Spain forced them to make 21 turnovers in 40 minutes of play. This debut is positive for Spain who will face a difficult Brazil squad from group A.
