Spain started strong but let up in the second quarter. After leading by only 4pts 48-44 at half.
Spain pulled in the second gear in the 2nd half and New Zealand had no options to come back after the tough defense and fast break plays by Spain. Shooting 50% from behind the arc and many fast break points from Spain despite being out rebounded by New Zealand.
Rudy Fernandez scored a double-double 12 points and 12 rebounds. Ricky Rubio dished out 11 assists and Marc Gasol lead all scorers with 22 points.
