Spain Struggles Again, But Continue To Dream
SPAIN 90 – SLOVENIA 84
Spain one of the favorites to win the Eurobasket Championship in Poland has struggled in all three games during the first round of the tournament. The first loss against Serbia and the last close encounters with Great Britain and Slovenia (overtime win). Spain’s defense and offense is not up to par and along with that – confidence has plumped. The head coach hopes and wishes that the team regains their confidence because now it will get harder.
Ricky Rubio played a great 4th period and helped maintain stability in overtime. Rudy Fernandez led Spain with 17 points.
