The Women’s National Team is already facing the start of the first stop of a unique and special summer for them: the 2021 Women’s Eurobasket in Valencia (June 17-27). An appointment in which Lucas Mondelo’s team will defend the crowns won in Prague 2017 and Belgrade 2019. With the aim of reaching the tournament at the best possible level, the FEB Sports Area has designed a Preparation Tour that will consist of a total of six friendly matches that can be followed on Teledeporte.

The six scheduled meetings of the Tour will take Spain through a total of three cities and two different countries. After the first days of work in L’Alqueria de Valencia, the team will head to Toulouse, where it will face a double confrontation against France on Sunday 23, at 5:45 p.m., and Monday, May 24, at 4:05 p.m. hours.

Córdoba will host the first matches of the National Team’s tour. It will be a very special visit, as it will mark the debut of the Women’s in the Andalusian city. The Municipal Palace of Sports Vista Alegre will host a triangle in which Nigeria (Thursday, June 3, 9:00 p.m.) and Belgium (Saturday, June 5, at 6:45 p.m.) will be the rivals.

Valencia, home to two of the four groups of the first phase and the final phase of the Women’s Eurobasket, will also witness the last preparation matches of the national team. Spain will finalize its set-up in a new triangle in which Turkey (Thursday 10, at 8:30 pm) and Italy (Saturday 12, 8:30 pm) will be the obstacles.

Once the preparation tour is over, the National Team will debut at the Eurobasket at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, against Belarus. Sweden (Friday 18th) and Slovakia (Sunday 20th) are the other rivals in Group A.
