Lhe Basketball King’s Cup will return to Granada for the first time since the 1995 edition. The Andalusian city will host the great Spanish basketball festival between February 17 and 20 of next year despite the fact that it does not have a team in the ACB. Covirán Granada is currently the leader of the LEB Oro. As there is no host, the eight best-ranked teams at the end of the first round of the Endesa League will participate in this edition.

Granada has finally prevailed over other cities that were also bidding to host the Cup, such as Vitoria, Pamplona and Burgos. It will be the third time it has been held in Andalusia in the last decade after the Malaga editions in 2014 and 2020.

It has been 26 years since the Cup traveled to Granada. Then the champion was the TAU. The Baskonia team beat Amway Zaragoza in the final 88-80. The MVP was taken by Pablo Laso, who will almost certainly be in this year’s appointment as coach of Real Madrid.
