Cáceres takes over from Barcelona this Saturday, October 2, with what will be the fifth stop of the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank 2021 circuit, which has also passed through Valencia, Castellón and Malaga. The setting will be the emblematic Plaza Mayor of the capital of Cáceres.

As soon as the echoes of its spectacular weekend at the Extreme in Barcelona have faded, the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank circuit is preparing to experience a new stop, this Saturday, October 2. The setting will be the city of Cáceres and especially its emblematic Plaza Mayor, in a day for which almost 60 teams and 250 participants have registered.

The Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank 2021, which has already passed through Valencia, Castellón, Málaga and Barcelona, ??returns to Cáceres, a city where the largest free outdoor 3×3 basketball event in Spain has already been held in previous years.

As usual in the days of the circuit, the usual prizes and gifts will not be lacking, and once again there will be a visit from FEB Ambassador Fernando Romay, who will organize and entertain shooting and skill contests for all participants. All this, with strict compliance with health protocols to guarantee the health of participants and visitors.

The event has the support of the Cáceres City Council, the General Directorate of Sports of the Junta de Extremadura and the Extremadura Basketball Federation, as well as the participation of a team of about 25 volunteers, attached to the FEB-CaixaBank Volunteer Program.

The largest free basketball circuit in Spain

The FEB and CaixaBank launched the Plaza 3×3 program in 2012. Since then, this free 3×3 basketball championship has become the largest traveling basketball circuit in all of Spain. The nine stops of 2019, the last that could be held, raised the figures for this street basketball promotion program to more than 42,000 participants and 200,000 visitors. A very positive balance of this emblematic program, which in its eight editions has already visited 39 cities throughout Spain.

CaixaBank, a leading sponsor of Spanish basketball

CaixaBank is a sponsoring partner of the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and official sponsor of the Spanish National Team in all its categories, male and female. The financial entity has been involved with national basketball since 2013 and its involvement and activation of multiple initiatives around this sport have helped to make visible and expand the impact of the greatest international successes.

In its implementation of the local sponsorship strategy, CaixaBank has collaborated with the main basketball events that have been held in the last decade in Spain, both professionals and amateurs, transferring the values ??of sport to all corners of the country.

Among them is the commitment to the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank circuit. In addition, the FEB and CaixaBank have a specific sports volunteering program that goes beyond the competition itself: the FEB CaixaBank volunteer program.

After seven years, the program has managed to weave a solid community of almost 20,000 volunteers, who support all official basketball events organized by the FEB.
