DEPT. COMMUNICATION MOVISTAR STUDENTS

We announce new “women in black” twice! The sisters Billie and Becky Massey are the first confirmed additions to the Movistar Estudiantes women’s first team for the 2022-23 season.

Both players are absolute international centers with Belgium, born in 2000, and come from Kangoeroes Basket, runner-up in the league and champion of the Cup of their country and Eurocup Women’s team.

Both have played for six years in the Kangoeroes, a club that is proud “of the achievements of both sisters and the contribution we have made to allow these two talented players to become true international class players.”

Throughout their careers, both sisters have played together, both in clubs and in the Belgian national team from training categories, something that will happen again in Movistar Estudiantes under the orders of David Gallego.

With Belgium, his recent bronze at the Eurobasket in Spain 2021 stands out; its participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (7th); and fifth place in the 2018 U18F Eurobasket.

In the record with clubs of the Massey sisters, they stand out, in addition to the Belgian Cup title this season; the league runners-up in 2018, 2019 and this 2022.

Even so, it is acceptable to talk about each of them independently.
