The first match in Spain of the Qualifying Windows for the World Cup 2023 already has headquarters: it will be played on Monday, November 29 at the Provincial Palace of Sports Olivo Arena de Jaén, a recently built facility with a capacity for 6,589 spectators in the stands.
The party will be organized by the FEB with the collaboration of the Diputación de Jaén and it will be the first time in its history that the Absolute Male Selection plays in the capital of Jaén.
The rival of Spain will be the selection of Georgia, which together with North Macedonia and Ukraine complete group G of this first phase of the competition. It so happens that Georgia will be one of the first rivals of Spain in Eurobasket 2022, whose group stage the National Team will play precisely in Tbilisi, so the match will have an added incentive.
Three days before its presentation in Jaén, the National Team will have played its first match of this qualifying phase, visiting the Macedonians.
Jorge Garbajosa: “We will surely have the support of our fans”
“We are very excited to go to Jaén, not only because of the importance of the game and because it is played in an excellent facility, but also because it is the first time that the National Team plays in this city “, assures the president of the FEB, Jorge Garbajosa. “Surely we will have the unconditional support of our fans, who will appreciate the importance of the game”.
