Almería will host the Spain-Romania belonging to the phase of qualification for the Women’s EuroBasket 2023. A match to be played in the Municipal Palace of the Mediterranean Games at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14 and for which tickets can already be purchased in a range of prices between 4 and 12 euros. If the current regulations do not change between now and the date of the match, the pavilion will be able to house 80% of its capacity, with each spectator having to wear the mask at all times.
It will be the first time that the Women’s National Team plays in Almería, with the exception of the 2005 Mediterranean Games. A special occasion that will mark the second match of Miguel Mendez as Absolute Coach and the first in national territory. The Women will begin qualifying for the Women’s EuroBasket 2023 on Thursday 11 November against Hungary in Szekszard.
The second Qualifying Window will take place in November 2022 with Iceland and, again, Hungary as rivals. In February 2023 the third and last Window will be held. The best classified in Group C (the one from Spain) will qualify for the EuroBasket 2023. The four best second classified of the total of the ten qualifying groups will also obtain a place for the EuroBasket.
