ANDhe Valencia Basket announced this Friday that it has reached an agreement to sign a new contract with the Icelandic point guard Martin Hermannsson, who will extend his stay at the Valencian club for two more seasons and who is expected to return to the courts in the middle of next season after the serious left knee injury he suffered in the last match of the Endesa League.

The agreement between both parties has come after Valencia rectified his first move in which he announced that he was exercising the clause that allowed him to get out of the first contract he had and offered him to finish his recovery at the club but only paid him the house, without offer guaranteed contract.

After the player did not accept that proposal, the entity changed its strategy and offered him a new two-year contract, which allows him significant savings compared to the salary he should have received with the previous contract. As Efe learned, there are clauses that allow the agreement to end next summer.
