The young player arrives at HLA Alicante after a great season at LEB Plata to reinforce Lucent’s inner game.


HLA Alicante and Walter Junior Cabral (Madrid, 1995) have reached an agreement for the 200cm international player for Equatorial Guinea to defend the Lucentian shirt. Cabral comes from Grupo Alega Cantabria of LEB Plata, a category in which he has been one of the most prominent players.

The new HLA Alicante player has signed an average of almost double-double per game with 12.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game for an average rating of 16.5 credits. Cabral stands out for his physical ability to rebound, a facet in which he has stood out with caps of 19 rebounds per game.

Last season, Walter Jr Cabral won several awards for MVP of the day in a LEB Silver in which he has stood out the last two seasons and in which he has become one of the leading players in the league.

Cabral joins a staff of the HLA Alicante that right now is made up of Pedro Llompart, Guillem Arcos, Joan Tomàs, Osvaldas Matulionis and Rolandas Jakstas.
