Spain is hoping on being selected as the host for the 2014 World Basketball Championships. Spain, Italy and China are fighting for rights to become the provider of the games. It has been mentioned that Spain has a great chance of being select for their past organizations of various tournaments that led to very positive and organized results. President of the Spanish Basketball Federation, José Luis Sáez, states that
“Great relationship that the FEB has with FIBA Europe, with whom we’ve worked hand in hand with all these projects.”
