My main virtue is that I do not have a defined role and I am capable of doing various things thanks to the physical capacity that I have ”, he confirms.

A great track record in training teams

After starting to play basketball at CD Careba in her native Seville, the new Embutidos player Pajariel Bembibre passed through Conquero and SPAR Gran Canaria before signing for Celta Zorka Recalvi in ??2017. She made her debut in the top flight at the age of 16 in the island team and then, with the island’s relegation to Liga Femenina 2, she changed her scene to be an important player under the command of Cristina Cantero in the Olívico team, where she coincided for three seasons with the former red player Itziar Germán and has played several phases of ascent. In the last season, despite some physical problems for which she had to undergo surgery, she played 17 regular-phase matches and two more of the Leganés Promotion Phase with an average of more than 17 minutes per game. He added more than 4 points per game.

International in training categories, in 2016 he played the World Cup in the U17 category. That same year she was the European champion with the U16, being, in addition, included in the ideal quintet of the contest and a reference for the team led by Mario López. The following year, in 2017, he played the European U18 and in 2018 he repeated the category to hang the silver medal after falling in the final against Germany. He shared a generation, apart from Raquel Carrera, the main emerging star of Spanish women’s basketball, with Alba Prieto, from Durán Maquinaria Ensino; the recently drafted Aina Ayuso; Helena Pueyo, runner-up in the United States University League (NCAA) with Arizona; or Andrea Hernangómez, daughter of the mythical Wonny Geuer and sister of Willy and Juancho.

Ainhoa ??Lacorzana: “I did not doubt that it would be the best option”

Regarding her new team, the former Celta player affirms that “it is a club willing to give opportunities to young players. Once the last season was over, I knew I needed a change “, recalls the Andalusian outsider, who does not want to speak back to the Endesa Women’s League:” I debuted when I was 16 years old, but it was a girl who barely gave importance to that fact. These four years in Vigo have helped me to mature, to settle in Women’s League 2 and now, after a lot of work, to have the illusion and desire to fulfill my dream. At first, I was not very convinced of making the move to the Endesa Women’s League, but once they presented me with the project that they had for both me and the team, I did not doubt that it would be the best option, ”she reasons.

For his part, Pepe Vázquez considers that the new player on his team “has a good opportunity with this category jump to show that she can be important in the Endesa Women’s League. She has a great illusion, desire to work and progress “, specifies the coach from Santiago de Compostela, aware of the importance of her management of the squad:” She knows that here all the players have opportunities. She is aware that it is a challenge for her and that she has to work, “says the Galician coach, who expects a good response from the Sevillian outside:” I am sure that she will put all the effort to try to make it a good year for her and for the team ”.
