DEPT. COMMUNICATION MAGEC TÍAS

Two weeks before the start of the Women’s League 2, the Magec Tías “Against Gender Violence” continues to shape its roster, searching the market in order to look for young promises with experience who can adapt to the team trained this season by Jesús García .

The team from the municipality of Tías has managed to gain the services of Argentina’s Magali Vilches, a player who turned 19 years old last June and is an international with the national team.

The player, who arrives after playing the U19 World Cup this past summer with her national team, has an Italian passport and can play as a forward or pivot wing, highlighting the outside shot, where she has quite a lot of success, being the sixth player who scored the most triples in the last Argentine league.

After going through teams such as Unión Florida, Vélez, Centro Galicia or SITAS, the player arrives on the island to show “that she is an athlete with a lot of energy”, confessing that “I always wanted to play in Spain”.

Magali explains that the “proposal came to me through an agent” and now, once the agreement between the parties is confirmed, he hopes to “quickly adapt to the island and the league”, very different from the game that takes place in Argentina.

In Lanzarote he will coincide with Rosario de León, who also played for Argentina’s base teams, although he spent a large part of his life on the island. Magali will be the third Argentine who wears the club’s colors in recent years, since it happened, in the debut of the entity in national basketball, Ornella Santana.

The Magec Tías does not rule out that some more reinforcement may still come to the entity, although everything will depend on the market and the needs of the team.
