ANDl Barça continues to strengthen its basketball project, which remained last season one step away from a historic triplet, after winning the Endesa League, the King’s Cup and falling in the final of the Euroleague Final Four against Turkish Anadolou Efes.

Precisely from his executioner in the continental competition comes his first signing for the 2021-2022 season, Turkish pivot Sertac Sanli, 29 years old and 2.13 meters tall, for the next two seasons.

Height and with good hand

With Sanli, Barça reinforces its inner game, after the Confirmed departure of Ukrainian Artem Pustovyi and probable Pau Gasol.

The Turk, who is immersed with his team in the pre-Olympic, has averaged in the Euroleague 7.8 points per game and has stood out for its good outside shooting percentages (66.1% in shots of two and 34.9% in triples), being decisive in the Final Four in Cologne (15.5 points and 5 rebounds per game).

In this way, Sanli will share interior positions with Brandon Davies, Roland Smits, Pierre Oriola and Nikola Mirotic, thus reinforcing a great staff.

Meanwhile, the club continues to shape the next season, after announcing this Wednesday the renewal of Alex Abrines until 2026, and is now working on the future of Victor Claver and Adam Hanga, two players that don’t seem to count for Sarunas Jasikevicius.

Farewell to Efes

Sanli has said goodbye to his previous club on social networks, with a very heartfelt message. “I don’t know where to start, I met the most beautiful sport in the world here, I lived the most challenging but best days of my career here. Here I raised the trophy that has adorned my dreams since the day I picked up the basketball“, begins in his social networks, and then to thank his coach and president in the Istanbul team for these years.

“I will always be a fan of Anadolu Efes,” he ends.
