ANDhe American center with a Nigerian passport Dany Agbelese, who comes from the Greek Promitheas Patras, is a new player for Coosur Betis, a team with which he has signed a one-season contract.

Agbelese, born in Washington 31 years ago and 2.05 meters tall, will join the Sevillian team of the Endesa League in the coming days once he has passed the medical exams, Coosur Betis reported on Monday afternoon.

His sports career started at Hampton University and he played 33 games in each of his two seasons that he was in the NCAA (American university league) before starting his professional career outside of his country, recalls the Verdiblanca entity in its statement.

His first experience was in Iranian basketball (2012/13) and later he played in Uruguay, from there he made the leap to Europe and in the 2014/15 season he signed for CEBA Guadalajara, in LEB Plata.

After a brief stint in Greece, he played for Ourense Termal, already in LEB Oro, and his good numbers drove him to the ACB in December 2015 to play twenty-three games for Gipuzkoa Basket in the 2015/16 campaign, with averages of 4.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Later he went to Basket Brindisi, of the Italian Serie A, and in the same season he went to Pau-Lacq-Orthez, of the French Pro A.

In the 2017/18 season he returned to the Endesa League to play again in Gipuzkoa Basket, with which he now played 33 games, with averages of 7.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

The last three seasons he has played in the Greek A1: Holargos BC (2018/19), Kolossos H Hotels (2019/20) and ASP Promitheas Patras (2020/21), the latter season in which he played 34 games with averages of 7.9 points and 4.6 rebounds.
