The top four teams in the standings at the end of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season had toiled for 34 rounds to earn home-court advantage for the playoffs. However, the teams placed fifth through eight were also battled-tested and deservedly reached the best-of-five playoffs. After starting with a pair of road games, now they get to go home.

In three cases, those teams are playing for their seasons. It’s do or die for FC Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. The fourth team, Zenit St Petersburg, is looking to capitalize on its Game 1 victory in Barcelona.

What all four teams have in common is the appreciation of being at home for Game 3, regardless of the situation in the series. Therefore, taking players who play at home here in the EuroLeague FabFive Challenge is a strategy that may bear fruits.

With that in mind, here are some recommendations for choosing your FabFive Challenge teams this week:

Range 1 (0 to 3.99) – Whether Walter Tavares plays or doesn’t, Usman Garuba figures to see plenty of minutes in the paint for Real Madrid and he’s already averaged 7.0 points in this series on perfect two-point shooting (6 for 6).

Range 2 (4 to 7.99) – After playing well – and shooting quite well – on the road, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul big man Danilo Barthel will be hungry to keep it going and help keep his team alive.

Range 3 (8 to 11.99) – Someone will have to step it up for Zenit St Petersburg to stay ahead in the series. Sharpshooter Billy Baron is a leading candidate.

Range 4 (12 to 14.99) – The Range 4 choices all feel like Range 5 guys! No player has been quite as impressive in the playoffs as Kevin Pangos of Zenit. Can he keep it up in Game 3?

Range 5 (15.0 or higher) – Who is the player most likely to dominate in Game 3? There is a healthy selection to choose from in Range 5. Let’s go with FC Bayern Munich guard Wade Baldwin, who is playing at home.

Make sure to follow the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs in Games 3 – and in some cases Game 4 – and enjoy competing in the EuroLeague FabFive Challenge. Good luck!
