Selecting your lineup for the EuroLeague FabFive Challenge should have gotten easier, but it just got harder, too. With 10 teams eliminated and only eight remaining in contention to reach the Final Four, there are less than half as many available players. Of course, those teams are also going against the best teams – with some of the best defenses – in the competition.

What’s more, the third series to tip-off in chronological order – CSKA Moscow vs Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul – is a game-changer for the FabFive Challenge the visitors will have missing players in Moscow due to injury and COVID-19 cases on the team. The prospective absences of key players not only means one must be wary of choosing certain players, but others may now have greatly increased roles against CSKA and thus much higher value for FabFive.

With that in mind, here are some recommendations for choosing your FabFive Challenge team in the playoffs:

Range 1 (0 to 3.99) – FC Barcelona signed Leo Westermann for his experience at moments like these. In addition to that and the fact that he is an elite three-point shooter, Westermann also knows a thing or two about Zenit St Petersburg’s starting point guard, Kevin Pangos, from their time together at Zalgiris Kaunas.

Range 2 (4 to 7.99) – There is a lot of value in the Fenerbahce frontcourt already due to Jan Vesely’s absence from an injury. Kyle O’Quinn or Danilo Barthel can be expected to pick up the slack if they play, but even if both are available, each would have the potential for a high score.

Range 3 (8 to 11.99) – The last few games of the regular season helped Iffe Lundberg cement himself as one of CSKA Moscow’s go-to guys. There is no doubt that if he had spent more time with the club, his average would be much higher and he wouldn’t be available in Range 3.

Range 4 (12 to 14.99) – AX Armani Exchange Milan forward Shavon Shields began his professional career in Germany and has some playoff experience. He has also scored in double figures in 12 straight games. What’s not to like?

Range 5 (15.0 or higher) – This time of year is Shane Larkin time! Anadolu Efes Istanbul has waited a long time to challenge for the title and Larkin is the man expected to lead it to the promised land.

Make sure to follow the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs and enjoy competing in the EuroLeague FabFive Challenge. Good luck!
