JAsiel Rivero will not be able to play this weekend’s Endesa Super Cup with Valencia Basket, his new team. The Cuban pivot had to abandon training last Thursday after injuring his left leg.

After the imaging tests that Rivero has undergone, it is confirmed that he suffers a muscle injury in the anterior rectus of his left leg that will keep him for an indeterminate time off, as it will depend on the evolution of his ailment.

The pivot has not flown this Friday with the rest of the expedition to Tenerife and will cause loss for the dispute of the first title of the season, in which Valencia Basket will face Barcelona in the first semifinal.

The taronja team will arrive in the frame, as the absence of Rivero adds to the already known ones of Nenad Dimitrijevic, Xabi López-Arostegui and Louis Labeyrie. Three of this season’s reinforcements will not be able to debut yet with the Valencian team.
