ANDCuban power forward Jasiel Rivero, after three seasons at Hereda San Pablo Burgos, has deposited the termination clause to be able to leave the club where he has been a key player in the achievement of the two Basketball Champions League titles and that of the FIBA ??Intercontinental Cup.
The Cuban will not complete his fourth season in Burgos and will look for opportunities outside the entity that facilitated the jump to European basketball after having spent a year in the Argentine league on loan.
Rivero arrived in Burgos as player number 13, since his non-EU status conditioned his participation in the first season in Burgos.
However, over time he was gaining the trust of the then coach, Joan Peñarroya, until he became a benchmark of the Burgos game.
During the last season, as a center and power forward, he averaged 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in the thirty-five Endesa League games in which he participated, numbers similar to those obtained in the past Basketball Champions League.
The club, which has not reported the amount of the termination clause deposited, has thanked Jasiel Rivero “for his great work on the court and his attitude in and out of the dressing room during the time he has been” in Burgos.
