ANDhe Lenovo Tenerife announced this Tuesday through a statement the signing of Kyle Wiltjer, power forward who has played for Turkey’s Türk Telekom for the last two seasons.

The 28-year-old 2.08 meter player has averaged 18.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in Turkish competition; and averaged 15.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in the Champions League.

Wiltjer has dual American and Canadian nationality and has been international for Canada, a team with which he won the silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games.

In the Lenovo Tenerife he will live his second experience in Liga Endesa, since in the 2018-19 campaign he wore the colors of Unicaja de Málaga, where he coincided with the Canarista Gio Shermadini.

The player began his professional path after going through the United States University League, a competition in which he lifted the champion title in the 2011-12 academic year.

In 2012-13, the player was named the sixth best man in his conference (SEC) and the following year, he transferred to Gonzaga University to finish his studies there.

In 2016 he was selected in the NBA draft and played for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and Toronto Raptors. In 2017 he came to Europe from the hand of Olympiacos from Greece, there he made his Euroleague debut.
