Formed in the quarry of CB Valladolid, González is one of the most outstanding talents of his generation. In fact, he has been international in lower categories and has been part of the group that got the silver medal U18 from Slovakia in 2017 and repeated metal two years later in Israel to the U20 championship, in both calls under the direction of the coach of Força Lleida , Joaquín Prado.
In his club career, the promotion to LEB Oro with Valladolid (16/17) stands out and also the fact of being part of the Baskonia squad that was proclaimed champion of the ACB in the 19/20 season, all and with a testimonial presence. That course was played by the affiliate of LEB Plata from Alava, becoming the most valued player on the team. Last season he played -also cedit- Real Canoe, from LEB Oro, where he achieved averages of 7.
Força Lleida coach, Joaquín Prado, highlights that González “is a player with great offensive talent and a great capacity to generate advantages from the perimeter with his outside shot and his direct blocking game”. It also highlights their physical and tactical conditions; “He has everything to be an important player in Spanish basketball,” says Prado.
With this incorporation, Gerard Encuentro already has six players in his squad; point guards Albert Lafuente and Thomas Schreiner, forwards David Cuéllar, Mark Hughes and Miguel González, and power forward Michael Carrera.
