ANDhe American guard Braydon Hobbs became the first signing of Monbus Obradoiro 2021-22 this Friday, which he arrives from from German Oldenburg and with which he has committed for the next two seasons.

The new player of the Galician team has played the last seven seasons in the Bundesliga with five different teams: Nurenberg, Giessen 46ers, Ratiopharm Ulm, FC Bayern Munich (League and Cup champion in 2018 and League in 2019) and the aforementioned Oldenburg.

“With Braydon we incorporated an expert player who stands out mainly for his ability to pass. He is a large point guard, threatening to shoot and who can share the pitch with another game director,” said the club’s general director, José Luis Mateo.

The head of the sports area also pointed out that the American comes “with good references” after an “important” career in Germany, so he understands that he must be “an important player in the direction and leadership” of the team led by Moncho Fernandez.

In this last season, the point guard, 1.96 meters and 32 years old, has averaged 7.7 points (52.4 percent in shots from two, 43.4 in triples and 80.0 in free throws), 4.2 assists and 1.3 recoveries in 17.8 minutes (38 matches).
