Double joy for Pau Gasol: After a rare Laker victory of his team in Portland, Gasol reached a new milestone in his NBA career: 1,000 games played since he debuted in the 01/02 season with Memphis. Also, Pau has entered the ‘top’ 90 historical scorers of the NBA. Although this season has been difficult for both Pau Gasol personally and the slump season his future still remains a blur as a Laker.
In this latter part of the season Gasol’s numbers have been rising.
With the marks of top Spanish National teams and figures such as Rafael Nadal who just won the Wimbledon after a 44 year drought for Spanish Players and the Spanish Soccer team who also won the Euro2008 after not winning in the 40s. The national teams for Spain both women and men are hoping to follow in those footsteps in Pekin during the Olympic Summer Basketball Games!
