Romaric Belemene joins Cáceres Pat. Hum.

The Congolese Romaric Belemene (Rep. Of the Congo, 1997) joins the Cáceres World Heritage project, being the third signing of the team this season. Belemene is an experienced player, even at ACB despite his youth, who will bring physique and quality to Roberto Blanco’s squad. With a height of 2.02 meters, he can fluctuate between his natural forward position and that of ‘4’, also contributing in defensive tasks and with a good disposition for the rebound.

Formed in the lower categories of Unicaja Málaga, forming part of its subsidiary in EBA and making his debut in LEB Oro in the 13/14 season, with only 16 years. The following campaign consolidated his experience in Gold in the ranks of Unicaja, making his debut in the highest category of Spanish basketball in the 15/16 season. After this debut, he was loaned to Manresa, the team with which he completed his first season at ACB, averaging 2.6 points in just over 10 minutes per game.

He completed his time at ACB in Breogán in 2018, to make the leap to European basketball in the ranks of the Polish Legia Varsovia, with which he played the qualifying phase of the Champions League. In January 2020 he returns to Spain to defend the colors of Melilla, playing only 8 games due to the outbreak of the pandemic. Last season he was linked to Leyma Coruña, averaging 5.2 points and 3.4 rebounds with almost 20 minutes of play in each game.

With Belemene, there are now four official players for the competition that will start in October, joining the foreign game to the signings of Manu Rodríguez, Carlos Toledo and Jaume Lobo, along with the renewal of the North American Devin Schmidt. The club will start the season of subscribers once the conditions of capacity and admission to the sports facilities are known for sure.
