LA surprise has jumped at the last minute of this Thursday in the offices of Los Guindos. Marco Spissu will not finally play for Unicaja. The Italian player has not been able to pass the medical examination that has been carried out on his arrival in Malaga, a necessary step to make the contract between the parties effective.

“The Italian point guard, like the rest of his teammates, has undergone the mandatory medical examination before starting training. In view of the results obtained in the different tests carried out, the medical services of the cajista club have determined that the player is not suitable to be part of the Unicaja squad, “reflected the statement from the cadre directed by Fotis Katsikaris.

The Carpena team has informed the player and his home club, Dinamo Sassari, of this circumstance. Unicaja continued his writing thus: “Very sorry for the situation and wishing him a speedy recovery, Spissu cannot join the discipline of our team.” Unicaja is now left without a point guard to accompany Alberto Díaz.

The signing of Spissu has already been moved. The chairman composer, Antonio Jesús López Nieto, confirmed on Radio MARCA Málaga’s microphones that he had not liked the times set in the operation. The Malaga leader believed that the Los Guindos team could have saved money in this movement. Finally, the operation has not been closed and Unicaja will have to go to the market.
